Chuck roast with mashed potatoes, au jus from the crockpot, carrots and French bread.



 

Chuck Roast in the crockpot with half a cup of water a packet each of Ranch dressing, Italian dressing and brown gravy.  Cook on high until falling apart tender and juicy. Bread is water, flour, yeast, salt and sugar. 2 1/3 C. water, Tablespoon each of salt, sugar and yeast.  Add the yeast to the flour and mix in enough flour until it doesn't stick to the bowl.  Knead, put in greased bowl to rise twice the volume, shape, let rise again and bake at 425º until 190-195. I brush the bread with a beaten egg, and dust with sesame seeds before baking.  After it comes out of the oven I lightly brush it with butter.  

Mashed potatoes were baked with the roast, being added a couple hours into the start time then mashed with some salt, butter, cream and added to some instant mashed potatoes
